CURRENT WISHLIST

What's sad about consumer society is that we always create new wishes and make them become needs. Here are my new wishes/needs that I hope I'll be able to get a hand on soon. UNIF is of course a big part of my wishlist...but as promised, there are no black boots.

PS: UNIF's new collection and its collaboration with Candy Fake Tokyo make me want to be rich.

Black Friday at Editorial made me go bananaaas. I bought these boots for half their price and they're just amazing!! They're so comfortable, easy to put on with any outfit, casual but also dressy...arrr I'm so happy about this purchase but from now on I've decided to control myself about black boots. But I guess we never have enough of them...right?

This room is literally saturated by plants that usually are outside and we have this huge Christmas tree (excitinnnng) waiting in there to be transferred to the family room. It's barely impossible to find a way in but I had to since it's too dark in any other room of my house (I'm such a warrior).

The other thing I'm excited about is the 6 lipsticks&lip pencils that I got from Colour Pop. I really wanted to see by myself if they were really that amazing and now I can tell that yes, they are. They have kind of a smell of vanilla (which I love), the texture is nice and so are the colours. Plus, Colour Pop's lipsticks are totally not expensive (5$US each) and made in the USA.

For the moment I only tried 2 of them; Creature and Wet.

I thought Creature would be a little more darker but it actually looks a lot like the Velvetine "Wicked" by LimeCrime. However Wet is...unbelievable. It's shiny but at the same time it's kind of matte, and the colour is really original! We can't really see on the pictures but it's a mix of bronze/grey/light brown. I really think this is my favorite lipstick so far.

Top&skirt: Missguided

A few weeks ago I ordered this co-ord (and another skirt) on Missguided but their website and I didn't understand each other. I ended up with clothes 3 to 4 sizes up to mine (you can figure out how I looked in them)!! So this week end I finally had time to make the skirts smaller, however this one's still a bit too large as you can see on the pictures. I'm also quite satisfied that I can wear the top without making it smaller because I would have never wanted to unsew-resew everything. The only thing is that it's longer than it should be but I can live with it which is what matters.

Anyway! That's the way I would have worn this co-ord if I ever went outside of my house today and if the temperature was warm enough to wear sandals. 

// Il y a quelques semaines j'avais commandé cet ensemble (et une autre jupe) sur Missguided mais disons qu'il y a eu un problème de compréhension entre moi et leur site internet. Je me suis retrouvée avec des vêtements presque 4 tailles au-dessus de la mienne (je vous laisse imaginer à quel point je flottais)!! Ce week-end j'ai finalement eu le temps de retrécir les jupes mais celle-ci est encore un peu grande, comme on peut voir sur les photos. En ce qui concerne ce haut, heureusement que, même si officiellement la taille est trop grande, je suis capable de le porter sans avoir à le modifier car je me voyais mal tout découdre et ensuite recoudre. Ceci dit, il est plus long qu'il ne le devrait mais tant pis. 

En tous cas! Voici comment j'aurais porter cet ensemble si j'étais sortie de chez moi aujourd'hui et si il faisait une température correcte pour des sandales.

So winter is already here which is pretty soon even for Montreal. We already got 2 snow storms and still have snow and ice everywhere. Let me tell you that I already got hit by the annual winter blues. Lighting is so bad (the sky is literally grey) that I got mad to anything being around me and now my room is a total mess and I just can't deal with it!! It actually looks like this outside:

I'm finally this coat's happy owner (it was on my wish list) and I'm pretty satisfied with it. It definitely won't be enough for Canadian winter but it's gonna be perfect for okay temperatures and spring.

I also apologize for keeping wearing these boots but they're just so warm and comfortable...and I don't have any other pair that I could wear with the temperature and snow outside...!

// Donc l'hiver est déjà des notres, ce qui est assez tôt, même pour Montréal. Nous avons déjà eu 2 tempêtes de neige et nous avons encore de la neige et de la glace partout. Entre vous et moi, je vous avoue que je suis déjà touchée par l'annuelle déprime hivernale. La luminosité était tellement mauvaise ce matin (le ciel est littéralement gris) que je me suis énervée contre absolument tout ce qu'il pouvait être autour de moi et maintenant ma chambre est un vrai bordel et je ne veux juste plus y mettre les pieds!! La photo au dessus est assez représentative de comment c'est dehors.

Je suis finalement l'heureuse propriétaire de ce manteau (qui était sur ma wish list) et j'en suis pas mal contente. Il ne sera définitivement pas assez chaud pour l'hiver canadien mais il sera parfait pour des températures correctes et pour le printemps.

Je m'excuse aussi de ne porter que ces bottines mais elles sont tellement chaudes et confortables...et je n'ai pas d'autres paires que je pourrais porter avec la température et la neige qu'il y a dehors...!

It's been a while since I've posted but I've just been quite into my bubble lately. I've finally had time and energy to put together a nice outfit and damn! it feels good!

Edgy and vintage, this outfit is so me. I just love it and feel so comfortable in it.

Those 2 amazing earrings are from Regalrose. I also bought a necklace that I'll style soon. I just wish I could have everything they have on their website, their jewels are literally amazing! I feel like my next purchases are going to be the hand harness, a choker and probably a fake septum ring, depending on my budget. 

// Ça fait longtemps que je n'ai pas posté mais j'ai juste vraiment été coincée dans ma bulle ces temps-ci. Aujourd'hui j'ai finalement eu le temps et l'énergie de créer une tenue cool et ça fait du bien en titi!

Edgy et vintage, cette tenue est complètement moi. Elle me plaît beaucoup et en plus je me sens vraiment confortable dedans, quoi de mieux!

Ces 2 boucles d'oreilles proviennent de Regalrose, où j'ai également acheté un collier que je vais styliser bientôt. J'aime tellement leurs bijoux que j'aimerais les avoir tous! Je pense bien que mes prochains achats chez eux seront un bracelet-bague, un choker and probablement un faux piercing pour septum, si mon budget me le permet.

Montreal/Quebec's weather has always been a little weird but I have no idea what is wrong with it this year. 24 degrees in October is a jamais vu OR I was just too young to remember it. When I think some years we had snow in Halloween, I feel like this won't happen this year (*fingers crossed*). 

Anyway! I've been a lot into skirts lately but since it's something new to me I still don't have a lot in my wardrobe (I usually am a shorts/pants person). This makes me dust old skirts, like this one, to wear them again. It's been at least 5 years that I own it and after all I don't regret keeping it because I've learned to like it again! Styled with fishnets and lots of black, it becomes nicely grunge. 

//Montréal/le Québec a toujours été un peu étrange niveau climat mais là je suis épatée. 24 degrés en plein mois d'octobre me semble être du jamais vu!...ou alors j'étais trop jeune pour m'en souvenir. Quand je pense que certaines années nous avons eu de la neige à Halloween, je pense que 2014 en est loin...(je croise les doigts)

En tous cas! Je suis pas mal dans le mood "jupe" depuis quelques temps mais comme c'est assez récent je n'en ai pas beaucoup dans ma garde-robe (je suis généralement plus shorts/pantalons). Ça me pousse donc à dépoussiérer d'anciennes jupes pour les reporter, comme celle-ci. Je l'ai depuis un bon 5 ans et je ne regrette finalement pas de l'avoir gardée car elle me plait à nouveau! Avec des collants résilles et beaucoup de noir, elle est grunge à souhait.

Nerd-girly

I have no idea why but I feel like the way my hair is makes me look like Winnie the Pooh (0 link). But whatever, boyfriend told me it was looking nice so its a victory. I'm always looking for new ways of doing short hair and this one is pretty practical to not have locks in the face (= great during exams week).
I saw several clients trying on this skirt and it always looks good, it's amazing! It is so short that it makes the legs look longer and thiner and the white stands out even more when wearing dark opaque tights. However, wearing mini sport shorts underneath is essential otherwise people will see your butt which is kind of embarrassing. 

I'd like to find a sweater with studs on (or put some on one) to make an edgier outfit with this skirt.
Finally, to break up with the nerd-girly look of the outfit I've chosen to wear my Jeff.

PS: sorry for the unsteamed sweater, lazyness was all over me this morning. 

// Allez savoir pourquoi mais j'ai l'impression de ressembler à Winnie the Pooh avec cette coiffure (oui 0 rapport). Mais bon, copain a dit que ça faisait bien alors c'est une victoire. Je suis toujours à la recherche de nouvelles façons de coiffer des cheveux courts et celle-ci est assez pratique quand on ne veut pas avoir des mèches dans la face (=pas mal bien en période d'examens). 

J'ai vu plusieurs clientes essayer cette jupe et elle fait vraiment à tout le monde c'est incroyable! Le fait qu'elle soit vraiment très courte rend les jambes fines et longues et le blanc ressort d'autant plus en portant des collants opaques foncés. Par contre, le mini short de sport en dessous est indispensable car en se baissant nos fesses sont visibles à tous, ce qui est un peu génant. 

J'aimerais me trouver un pull avec des studs (ou en ajouter a un pull) pour faire une tenue plus edgy avec cette jupe. 

Et pour finir, pour casser avec le look trop nerd-girly j'ai décidé de porter mes Jeff.

PS: pardon pour le pull non repassé, la flemme a eu le dessus sur moi ce matin.

My "Ineedsomanynewthings" list

A few weeks ago I started a file on my computer to put in all the stuffs that I consider needing and I've decided to share it with you guys.
I feel so cute doing this right now, it looks exactly like my annual Christmas wish list hahah
Anyway, let's do this:

1. ERA BOOTS_ UNIF : Okay I've seen these boots a few weeks ago and I just can't get over them. This is definitely my #1 need. I was about to place my order the other day until I figured out it was going to cost me around CND$300 (fees and all). I almost cried. I'll wait 'til Christmas...arg. 

2. UNISEX FISHERMAN PULLOVER_AMERICAN APPAREL: I work for this company so no wonder I want some of their stuffs... This one, in burgundy or vintage green and in a large size, will be amazing to feel cozy and all.

3. PLAID BEHAVIOR SHIRT_NASTY GAL: yeeee how amazing is thiiiiiis (would look so great with the Era boots hehe)

4. LIGHT GREY SUEDETTE OVERSIZED BIKER JACKET_ GLAMOROUS: Saw it on the instagram of a cool boutique in Montreal. I currently don't have any coat so I'm probably going to buy this one, it looks so warm and cozy, perfect for fall and spring.

5. HOUNDSTOOTH MID-LENGH PENCIL SKIRT_AMERICAN APPAREL: Not sure if it would fit me since I'm terribly short, but I'll definitely try it on. Would look amazing with the Era boots (once again...), thights and a leather jacket.

6. HOLLY SHOES_DR.MARTENS: I'm a huge fan of Dr.Martens, mainly because of the quality. I mean, these boots can last your entire life if you pay attention.  
I firstly saw the boot version called "Molly" and it was love at first sight. But since I don't think several similar pairs are needed (and I already own a pair of boots) I went over it. So when I saw the shoe version, I knew they were the ones. Hopefully they'll be available in Canada soon.

7. FUZZY CROPPED SWEATER_AMERICAN APPAREL: I don't know. Not usually my style, but I think it would look nice and edgy with chokers and leather. 

8. LOOSE ENDS CARDIGAN_NASTY GAL: how fluffy is this?!

9. SKIVVIES ROSE BUD BRA_FOR LOVE AND LEMONS: cutie cutie

Wihouuu il a fait super beau aujourd'hui, j'ai même regretté de ne pas avoir mis de shorts avec des chaussettes hautes...m'enfin il faisait frais le matin. Histoire de changer ma tenue est extrêmement colorée (not). En fait j'aurais bien mis un pull bordeau ou vert forêt mais malheureusement je n'en ai pas (prochain achat?), alors pour rehausser la tenue j'ai mis ce colier de pierres bleues. J'ai porté ça pour aller en cours ce matin donc ça explique le gros sac, généralement je n'aime pas trop quand ils sont trop gros (sauf s'ils font hippie hihi). Dans un autre contexte j'aurais mis mon tout petit sac à dos noir.

Petit truc: quand une maxi est trop sans forme et 0 fluide, faire un noeud en bas

Deuxième petit truc: quand un pull est trop long et suffisament large, faire un noeud dans le dos... :)

// Wihouuu the weather today was amazing, I was even regretful of not being wearing shorts & thigh highs...anyway it was chilly on the morning. As usual my outfit is really colorful (not). I actually would have worn a bordeau or green forest sweater but I sadly don't own any (next purchase?), so to make the outfit is little bit happier I put on this blue necklace. I wore this outfit to go to uni which explains why my bag is so big. I'm not really a big bag enthusiast (except if it looks hippie hihi) therefore in another context I would have worn my mini black backpack.

Small tip: when a maxi doesn't have any shape and fluidity, tie it at the bottom

Small tip #2: when a sweater is too long and large enough, tie it at the back... :)

Le soleil est revenu sur Montréal ce qui m'a permis de porter cette jupe sans avoir à mettre des collants et surtout sans avoir froid aux jambes. Je porte généralement très peu de tshirt mais celui là est vraaaaiment cool (oui c'est un chat qui fait un gentil fuck you). Il est tellement cool que mon copain me l'avait kidnappé depuis 1 ou 2 semaines et j'ai du faire une demande spéciale pour pouvoir le porter cette fois-ci. Évidemment, il est déjà de retour dans son placard (je pense que je commence à le contaminer avec mon obscession des chats)... Je ne voulais pas faire un look trop "noir" alors j'ai mis mes Jeff et mon sac en tissu, en plus cela rend la tenue un peu plus originale!

// Montreal is back to its sunny mood which allowed me to wear that skirt without any tights and especially without being cold. I'm not really a tshirt person but that one is reeeeally cool (yep, it's a cat doing the nicest fuck you could ever see). It's actually so cool that my boyfriend kidnapped it 1 or 2 weeks ago and I had to make a special demand to be able to wear it this time. Obviously, it's already back in its wardrobe (I feel like he's starting to get contaminated by my cat obsession)... I wasn't really down for a "all black look" so I chose to wear my Jeffs and my tote bag and it actually makes the outfit look less simple.

J'ai hésité quelques temps avant d'acheter cette jupe car elle me rappelait les robes de petite fille que je portais plus jeune (et disons que je n'en ai pas que de bons souvenirs) mais bon finalement je la trouvais mignonne et parfaite pour l'automne. Il s'agit là encore d'un de mes "work outfit"que j'ai agencé à ma façon pour aller en cours avant d'aller travailler plus tard en journée. Il commence déjà à faire froid d'où le fait que j'ai sorti ces bottines de mon armoire (mais aussi surtout parce que j'avais hâte de les porter!!). Elles étaient top pour les 8-10 degrés du matin mais moyen pour les 18 de l'après-midi...je pense que je vais attendre que la température baisse pour de vrai avant de les remettre parce que la "fourrure" à l'intérieur tient vraiment chaud.

PS: Pour certains ce sont des bottines d'hiver mais à Montréal, vu le climat, c'est clairement des bottines d'automne. Je ne prendrais pas le risque de les abimer dans la neige et le sel, et surtout de glisser sur la glace (chose qui m'arrive très facilement)...

// I hesitated for a short period of time before buying this skirt because it was reminding me when I was younger and used to wear this kind of girly dresses (and I didn't especially enjoyed it). I finally ended up buying it since I thought it was really cute and perfect for fall. This is again one of my work outfits that I put on together to go to school and then to work. It's already started to get cold out there which is why I took these boots out of my wardrobe (but also because I was too excited about wearing them for the first time!!). They were amazing for the morning's 45-50 degrees but not so much for the afternoon's 65 degrees...I feel like I'll wait a little longer before wearing them again, just to let the temperature drop a little more because the fake fur inside of the boots keeps my feet really hot.

PS: Some of you may think these are winter boots but considering Montreal's weather they definitely are fall boots to me. I won't take the risk to damage them in the snow and the salt, and neither to slip on the ice (which happens so easily to me)...

J'ai eu le temps de prendre quelques photos de mon ouftit hier avant d'aller travailler, et on voit tout de suite que la lumière du matin m'a permis de faire des photos de plus belle qualité qu'en après-midi... Dorénavant je ferais mon possible pour shooter en matinée. 

J'aime vraiment beaucoup mon outfit de ce jour là, je trouve qu'il est à la fois edgy et cute, surtout avec le pull noué à la taille. Mes plateformes holographiques de UNIF sont ma plus récente acquisition niveau chaussures. Cela faisait longtemps que je les voulais et donc dès que j'ai réçu ma première paie je me les ai suis offertes et elles sont vraiment trop géniales! Elles n'en n'ont pas l'air comme ça mais elles ne sont pas fragiles du tout (au niveau des bandes holo) et surtout, elles sont pas mal moins lourdes que je ne l'imaginais, ce qui fait que c'est facile de marcher avec. 

J'ai aussi choisi de porter mes boucles d'oreille en plumes de paon pour rester dans les tons de couleur des chaussures et surtout pour casser avec le noir du pull. 

// Yesterday I had time to spap a few pictures of my outfit before going to work and we can clearly see the difference of pictures' quality taken in the morning vs taken in the afternoon... From now on I'll try my best to shoot in the morning. 

I absolutely love this outfit, I think it's both edgy and cute especially with the tied sweater. My UNIF holographic platforms are my most recent shoe acquisition. I spotted them a while ago so as soon as I got my first pay check I ordered them and I just can't handle how much I like them! I wasn't so sure about their solidity but they revealed themselves as being pretty okay. They're also less heavy than expected which makes walking quite easy. 

Also, to stay in the shoes' color palette but especially to contrast with the black sweater I chose to add to the outfit my peacock's feather earrings.

J'ai porté cette tenue il y a quelques jours pour aller en cours et je peux juste dire que j'adore les shorts! J'aime leur asymétrie et le fait de pouvoir porter un bas original et un top simple alors qu'on a généralement plutôt tendance à faire l'inverse. Je voulais vraiment porter quelque chose de basique et de large en haut pour contraster avec les shorts et donc j'ai opté pour ce crop top de AA que j'ai récemment acquis.

// I wore this outfit the other day to go to school and I just love these shorts! I like their asymmetry and the possibility to wear a basic tee with a not so basic bottom while we usually do the opposite. I really wanted to wear a loose and basic tee to contrast with the shorts so I chose that crop top from AA that I recently bought.

Aujourd'hui était quelque peu excitant car j'ai finalement trouvé une façon de porter cette jupe et ce bustier! Ça faisait des années que j'avais cette jupe dans mon armoire (elle provient de Tunisie et appartenait à ma grand-mère puis à ma mère) sans jamais avoir pu la porter, à mon grand désespoir. J'ai acheté le bustier il y a quelques mois spécialement pour le porter avec la jupe (Luanna de Le Happy m'a inspirée sur ce coup là), mais une fois que j'ai été capable de le rétrecir et de pouvoir le porter, je le trouvais trop sexy. Mais ce matin j'ai eu un éclair de génie en réalisant que j'avais cette chemise achetée il y a quelques années dans une friperie à Paris, et effectivement c'était vraiment de ça dont la tenue avait besoin! Finalement j'ai ajouté à la tenue mon nouveau petit sac à dos acheté hier en friperie et mes cut out boots.

Note: La tenue aurait été mieux avec des sandales noires à plateformes mais j'en ai malheureusement pas.

// This is kind of an exciting day because I've finally found a way to wear that lace bustier & skirt! I've had that skirt for years (it's actually from Tunisia and was previously my grandma's and then mom's) and I was desperate about wearing it but I couldn't put on the right outfit. A few months ago I bought that lace bustier to wear it with the skirt (Luanna from Le Happy inspired me on that one) but once I made it smaller and was able to wear it, it was too sexy. But when I woke up this morning I realized I could add that shirt bought a few years ago in a thrift shop in Paris to the outfit and it just looked so nice! I then added my new mini backpack bought yesterday in a thrift shop (when I saw it I just knew it had to be mine) and my cut out boots to complete the outfit.

N.B. : The outfit would have looked so much better with black platform sandals but unfortunately I  don't own any pair.
