Aujourd'hui je vous propose un look un peu différent!

Je n'aime pas vraiment obéir à un style en particulier, même si je me considère majoritairement grunge/edgy, alors il m'arrive quelque fois d'être plus casual/relax, et en voici un petit exemple.

Sinon mon séjour en France se rapproche de plus en plus de sa fin ce qui signifie que je pars bientôt au Laos! Je ne vais donc plus poster sur mon blog pour au moins 1 mois ou 2 mais je serais active sur Instagram pour des photos à Paris où je vais passer 5 jours, des photos d'accéssoires, de lifetstyle, et bien évidemment de mes voyages cet été et pendant la session d'automne!

So today's look is a little different from the usual!
I don't really like to follow a specific style even if I mainly consider mine as grunge/edgy, so it happens that I dress in a bit more casual/relax style, and here's an example.

My stay in France is also coming to an end which means that I'll be leaving for Laos soon! I won't post on my blog for a month or 2 but I'll definitely be posting on Instagram pictures from Paris where I'll be staying for 5 days, pictures of accessories, lifestyle and of course from my trips during summer & autumn !

PRISE #2

Yes I know I've already posted this look when I started being on Lookbook but I wanted to make higher quality pictures :)

So as surprising as it could be I do find time for my blog in between the cats' cuddles, the cherries picking, the naps and the (very often) French "saucissons" and wine tastings! I feel like I gain an additional kilo every day but I'm okay with it. Or maybe not. This morning I even dressed myself with my running shorts and shoes in case I would want to go for a little jogging session....but don't worry old habits die hard and I'm still lounging on the sofa.....humpf.

I really love this slit along the leg but not so much the skinny shape of this dress. I think that it's not really adapted for a casual day (however it does flatten the "over-tummy" (like "over-stock", you know) which is cool......). SO as in any other "skinny clothe" situation I threw on something pretty loose, in this case my dad's old sleeveless cardigan.

Eh oui aussi étonamment que cela puisse sembler je trouve du temps pour mon blog entre les câlins des chats, la cueillette des cerises, les siestes et les (très nombreuses) dégustations de saucissons et de vins français! Chaque jour j'ai l'impression de prendre 1kg supplémentaire mais je le vit bien. Ce matin je me suis même habillée avec mon short et mes chaussures de course au cas où l'envie de prendrait d'aller ENFIN faire un peu de jogging....mais je vous rassure je n'ai pas perdu mes bonnes habitudes et je suis donc toujours allongée sur le sofa.......humpf.

J'adore la fente de la robe le long de la jambe mais un peu moins le côté super moulant qui, je trouve, n'est pas vraiment adapté à une journée normale (ceci dit ce n'est pas plus mal car ça applati le petit surplu de bide.........). DONC comme dans n'importe quelle autre situation de vêtement moulant, j'ai enfilé quelque chose de très large par-dessus, ici un vieux cardigan sans manche à mon père.

Cute lil' outfit that I wore during the day and later to hang out in a bar (the Saint-Elizabeth, one of my favorites).

If you don't already know I'm pretty obsessed with cactus and succulents (as much as I am with cats), and this obsession started way before all this tumblr fever that made them mainstream. I've not always been a green thumb (I've lost at least 4 cactus...) but let's say it's because of our Canadian winter that gets everywhere, even in my house... Anyway it's not my fault it's called natural selection!!

All of this to say that this is one of my favorites tops because it has cactus on it but also because I like the length: it's neither short or long but just in-between. However good luck if you want to buy it, especially in Montreal where their store is kind of empty............

Si vous n'êtes pas au courant, je fais une très grosse fixation sur les cactus (et les plantes grasses) depuis des années (un peu comme les chats quoi), et ce bien avant la création de tumblr qui les a rendu mainstream. Bon je n'ai pas toujours le pouce vert (j'ai du perdre a moins 4 cactus...) mais mettons la faute sur notre rude hiver qui se fait sentir même à l'intérieur de ma maison... Et puis quoi, c'est ça la sélection naturelle hein!

Tout ça pour dire que ce top est un de mes favoris, sans compter que sa longueur est agréable car il n'est ni court, ni long. Par contre, bonne chance pour retrouver le même, surtout à Montréal où leur magasin est maintenant quasi désert de vêtements............

I bought this tshirt (that happened to be also a dress) when I was walking on St-Denis to meet a friend. I stopped by Urban Outfitters and ended up buying this (a little self-gift never hurt nobody).

For real, this tshirt/dress is like the black Editorial dress: I can't. It's so soft, beautifully loose and can be worn as a tshirt or as a dress! I would definitely wear it with high waisted shorts.

On a more personal touch, I'm leaving for France tonight where I'll be spending a month yeeehaa

// J'ai acheté ce tshirt (qui s'est révélé par la suite pouvoir être porté comme une robe) sur un coup de tête alors que je marchais sur St-Denis pour rejoindre une amie. J'ai fait un stop à Urban Outfitters et je suis ressortie avec ceci (un petit self-cadeau n'a jamais fait de mal à personne). 

Sincèrement, ce tshirt/robe c'est comme la robe noir de chez Editorial: je capote. Il est doux, loose à souhait et portable en tshirt ou en robe! Je le porterais aussi avec un short taille haute, un peu rentré sur le devant.

Sur une petite note personnelle, je pars ce soir passer 1 mois en France yeeehaa

Weeeeee I've recently bought a fake septum ring because I'm so mainstream like that! I actually just wanted to see how it would fit me and I'm pretty satisfied with it: it fits me well half the time (conclusion: I was right buying the one at 10$ at Claire's rather than the one at 32$ at Editorial).

However my brother almost lost all of his hair when he saw me wearing it... "It spoils the face", he said. SO KEWTE this guy

Anyways my love for socks comes back with the sun and these are my latest acquisition coming straight from AA. They're super cool and I'm really tempted to get the daisies ones too!

I wore this to go brunching at "Les Enfants terribles" (my favourite place to brunch) with two of my good friends.
We won't act as it is not: nothing's better than a babydoll dress to eat until you explode...

I can't wait for the sun to come back  upon Montreal so I could make my piggy-pink legs tan. For the moment I'm just working non-stop at AA to make sure that I won't be financially limited for my upcoming projects of which I will talk to you soon! :)

Disons le franchement, cette robe est et sera probablement mon meilleur achat de l'été 2015 (qui a à peine commencé oui je sais). Elle est tout ce que j'aime: comfortable, edgy, suffisament large pour ne pas laisser transparaître le petit gras d'hiver, et évidemment, noire. ET Y'A DU MESH. Bref. Je capote ben ben dessus.

Je me suis habillée comme ça pour aller en sushi date et j'ai eu le droit d'être associée à l'adjectif "élégante". Alors voilà ça veut tout dire: si je ne travaillais pas tous les jours je la porterais probablement chaque jour. Je vois déjà plusieurs façons de la porter, par exemple plus relax avec une veste en jeans oversized sans manches et des sandales noires plateformes (que je ne possède pas).

En tous cas, attendez-vous à la revoir!

Je cherche depuis quelques temps des bracelets pour bras (ceux que j'aime) à prix raisonnables mais comme cela ne semble pas exister par chez moi j'ai fait avec les moyens du bord: j'ai juste remonter des bracelets basiques le plus possible le long de mon bras. Bon ok ça ne monte pas aussi haut que voulu (je ne peux pas non plus avoir des bras-brindilles) mais le style me plaît.

De plus pour un look un peu plus habillé, j'ai sorti le bracelet et le collier en argent offerts par mes grands-parents cet hiver. Je les adore car ils sont à la fois très simples mais très bien faits et je sais qu'ils seront intemporels: je me vois très bien à 70 ans les porter encore (si je ne prends pas 80kg de poutine entre temps).

Pour conclure, j'ai mis à mes pieds mes fidèles Dr. Martens (je vous rappelle que je n'ai pas de sandales) et je peux vous dire que ça bouillait dur la dedans! M'enfin...je les aime ben gros quand même et j'aimerais en avoir de toutes les couleurs et de tous les styles. Moui.

PS: YES j'ai fait faire mes photos par une amie pi on est d'accord que y'a du progrès

// Let's be honest and say that this dress is and will be my best Summer 2015 purchase (which barely started, I know). It is everything that I love: comfortable, edgy, large enough to make this lovely little winter fat invisible, and of course, black. AND THERE IS MESH. Anyway, I'm all crazy about it.

I wore this for a sushi date and I succeeded at getting associated with a nice adjective that is "elegant". Let me tell you that if I wasn't working every day, I'll be wearing this dress every single day. I can already visualize several ways to wear it such as with an over sized and sleeveless jeans jacket and black platform sandals (that I still don't own any pair).

All of this to say: be ready to see it again!

I've been looking for arm cuffs (the ones I like) at affordable prices for quite a while now but since it seems like I can't find any I did whatever I could with what I had at hand: I used basic bracelets that I pushed as much as I could along my arms. Okay I know it doesn't get as high on my arms (I can't have twig-arms either) as I wanted to but I still like the style.

Also, I took out of their boxes the silver necklace and cuff that my grand parents offered me this winter to look a little bit dressy. I absolutely adore them because they're simple but also of such a great quality and design. I also know that they'll be timeless: I definitely see the 70 years old myself wearing them (hypothesizing that I won't have gained 80kg of poutine until then).

To conclude, I put on my feet my all time favorites Dr. Martens (don't forget that I don't have sandals) and let me tell you that some boiling was happening in there! But whatever, I still love them as crazy and I wish I could own every color and style of them. Yas.

This is the kind of outfit that I really like because it is simply comfortable and is great as much for a day at uni than for a night at a bar. I actually paired it with my hologram pouch to diversify my looks but I was firstly tempted to chose my small black backpack. So with that kind of look you can definitely go for any type of bag.

// Il s'agit là d'un look que j'apprécie particulièrement pour la simple et bonne raison que je me sens vraiment bien dedans, mais aussi parce qu'habillée ainsi, on peut autant aller en cours à l'univ qu'à un bar le soir. J'ai décidé de l'accésoriser avec ma pochette holographique pour faire un peu de changement mais sachez qu'initialement j'étais partie pour choisir mon petit sac à dos noir. Il est donc vraiment possible d'accésoriser un look comme ça avec le sac que vous désirez sans aucun risque d'erreur.

SUNNIES MOOD

Each year in Montreal it's the same thing: spring takes way too much time to come. While waiting for hotter and sunnier days, we always all get that tendency to dream on radiant pictures of sandals and other items that we couldn't wear for 5 long frozen months.

On a personal side, it seems like I can't get over sunnies. I just can't. And it also looks like this summer I'm probably going to wear colorful stuffs FOR ONCE.

So today I'm going to present you the sunnies that I can't stop thinking about, even in my deepest sleep. I'm pretty sure you guys can understand that I'm currently obsessed with cat eyes............ Just a bit.

And please note that I didn't order the sunnies by preferences and that we are not here to pay attention to the prices that can be sometimes not affordable for a student wallet but to think "I wish I had these" and happily sigh.

// Comme chaque année, le printemps se fait désirer dans notre belle ville qu'est Montréal. En 

attendant des jours plus chauds, nous avons tous cette petite tendance à saliver devant des images rayonnantes de sandales et autres items qui nous ont été impossible de porter durant un bon gros 5 mois.

En ce qui me concerne, on dirait que j'ai décidé de faire une fixation sur les lunettes de soleil. Et on dirait aussi que ÉTONNAMENT mon été va comporter des couleurs (histoire de contraster avec tout les couleurs neutres que je porte).

Je vous présente donc aujourd'hui une sélection de lunettes de soleil qui me pourchassent jusque dans mon sommeil, et ce depuis 2 semaines. Je pense qu'il est assez clair ici que les cat eyes m'obsèdent très légèrement...........

Notez qu'il n'y a aucun ordre de préférence et que nous ne sommes pas là pour regarder les prix parfois un peu élevés pour un budget étudiant mais bien pour rêvasser les ptits zamis.

Yaaaay finally had time to shoot an outfit! The weather yesterday was quite nice and warm (5 degrees wooot) so I decided to wear a skirt. I obviously put on 2 pair of tights because I'm the most cold sensitive person in the world.

I absolutely love this outfit it's so edgy, and I like how the pictures turned out!!

Make-up routine

Hi there!

It's been a while since I've posted and I apologize for it, but I'm terribly busy with my job, my internship and uni. I will do my best to post once a week when spring will be on Montreal I promise. I have tons of projects and things I want to share with you guys and I'm so excited about making them real!

In a previous post I talked about making a make-up routine video, and here it is! I actually filmed it a month ago but I never had time to edit it until now.
This is how I do my make-up but I'm not gonna lie to you. I am not a morning person. I basically never have time to put some make-up on before rushing to uni. I usually take 30 sec to put foundation on and that's it. I just feel like the most important thing to do in order to look alive after a short night is to have a good looking skin.
This time I did a pretty sharp eyeliner line for a more casual look but I like it better when it's larger because it gives a more dramatic and edgy look.

Naked Skin foundation + Sigma foundation brush

Garnier Concealer + RealTechniques flat foundation brush

Sephora gel eyeliner + MAC angled brush

La Roche Posay Respectissime waterproof mascara

Maybeline eye shadow (only low quality cosmetic that I own) + Bamboo angled brush

MAC bronzing powder + Lancôme brush

Bobby Brown blush + .Quo brush

Colour Pop lipliner and lipstick  in Creature

Here's a cute lil picture of my most recent products and brushes. As you can see these are pretty much expensive products. I just feel like using products from renowned brands presents less risks of being exposed to ingredients that could be bad for your health or of less quality. I always go for quality in cosmetics.

If you're curious about what I think of my new products, I did reallyyy short reviews:

Urban Decay Naked skin foundation : Seriously the best foundation I've ever had. It makes the skin look smooth and is barely not noticeable. And is PARABEN FREE.

Sigma foundation brush: a-ma-zing. So soft. Doesn't absorb the product AT ALL. It's still white even if I've been using it for months.

Amazonian clay full coverage airbrush foundation: I use it less often than the other one because it is longer to put on. I just don't think that the way it works with the little fishnet is the best. However I believe this is a great product. It melts perfectly on the skin and is also barely noticeable. So if you are more powder foundation, this one is great. 

MAC bronzing powder: I like it a lot but I'm pretty sure you could find one that would last longer on the skin. 

Sephora gel eyeliner: Much better than expected. I really wanted to give a try to gel eyeliner and I must admit it takes a few times before mastering the art of putting eyeliner with a brush but once you got it it's amazing! I used liquid eyeliner for years, which wasn't bad, but struggling with the Gosh eyeliner pen disgusted me from this kind of products. Seriously, don't ever buy it. I dries while using it and after a few days you'll need to put water on to make it work. So if you've already mastered the art of liquid eyeliner and if you're patient enough, give a try to a gel eyeliner :)

MAC liner brush: Pretty sure you could find one that'll do a better job for a lower price, but it's still a good brush. I just feel like it's not sharp enough.

 L'Oréal Brow pencil: I'm not sure to own this exact same product but it's basically the same. It's really easy to use but once again if you've never done your brows before you'll have to give it a few tries before mastering the art.

RealTechniques travel essentials : love them, especially because they come with a travel pocket. There are amazingly soft and of great quality (and good looking!).
